Pros
They provide an environment that appears good on the surface. There are some good people that work there, but technology management is two-faced, petty and incompetent.
Cons
Most of the Technology management, especially the ones who joined NPD over the past few years, are milking the company. They don't have a clue. Even their vendors see this. They are the main reason I left. You have to kiss their butt or be part of their clique. Behind people's backs, the Tech execs think everyone is stupid. They are holding out for their payout from the sale of the Company. Technology HR people are phonies. As a Senior Director, I saw what they are really like. The technology people who have been at NPD for several years are just hanging on. They don't have the skills or knowledge for modern day technologies. That's why the company has to hire external companies. In private, most people think the environment is bad and toxic. Besides the people who can't get other jobs and are hanging on, anyone who wants a career is looking for a job. Glad I got out.
