Only work here if you're desperate, and even then think twice. - Collector The Outsource Group Employee Review

Pros
Office is 1/2 mile from my house, that's really the only pro.
Cons
The collections software they use was developed in 1981 (yes, that's 32 years ago). They'll have you hooked up to an automated dialer that barely works half the time and you'll end up calling a lot of accounts who had already been called the same day, sometimes within minutes of hanging up with another rep. Also, a majority of the accounts placed for collections are largely the result of billing errors or just plain negligence on the client's part so be prepared to deal with a lot of complaints from patients for having been wrongly placed in collections. Don't even think about mentioning that fact to management, they don't want to hear it. Speaking of which, don't even think about having an opinion that differs from management on anything. They'll accuse you of having a bad attitude and for making excuses even when you have a valid argument as to how things could be improved or why their archaic ways of thinking are preventing people from succeeding. There's also zero room for growth unless you're the management's darling and even then you'll have to move 100 miles away to work in the St. Louis office. No thanks.

Cons
The only downside is that they no longer have to Corona location. It closed.

While it may provide decent pay and good experience, I could not recommend working for this company.
Patient Account RepresentativeFormer Employee, more than 1 yearColumbia, MOPros
FYI, not necessarily a pro but they were purchased by Parallon. They are currently known as The Outsource Group, A Parallon Company, and will soon just be Parallon. -Decent pay if you do well (base pay is mediocre, need to surpass monthly quota to earn commission in) -Some might say it provides good work/life experience
Cons
-Managements treatment of employees, inability to communicate effectively. -Upper management & HR unreachable/unapproachable -Little room for personal growth -Mediocre/poor health benefits -Time-off policy: Uses PTO (Paid Time Off), which must be used for all holidays and sick days. -Poor work-life balance due to slow accrual of PTO unless you've been there many years.
