    Pros

Excellent earned time off according to years of experience, not just years with the company. Team can be very supportive and fun to work with. When upper management that was causing lots of upheaval they finally fired the CEO. That was after I left but heard things got better.

    Cons

Management does not communicate changes that directly effect staff until the very last minute, leaving everyone in the lurch and thrown into emergency mode unnecessarily. Staff can be quite gossipy and regular day staff can be cliquish, depending on their mood. CNAs may not be as helpful as you'd hope for, depending on if they "like" you.

    Advice to Management

Focus on supporting your staff, not just the drama that goes on in upper management. Yes, you have a responsibility to make money but first responsibility is to keep the business do you have. Never underestimate word-of-mouth business promotion in a small town like DC. You only get that through good team work. Last but not least- COMMUNICATE!

    Pros

The facility is very nice and the patients are cared for. Managers expect you to work independently, which I appreciate.

    Cons

No room for growth, no paid holidays, management does not face issues directly and at times has a non confrontational approcah.
