I worked at The Westside Tennis and Fitness Club full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Wage is decent for a summer gig. Opportunity to work many hours. If working full time (40+ hours a week), one meal/day is provided free of charge.

    Cons

Management is unorganized and unprofessional. They are very rude to staff members, and do not recognize hard work. Some summer employees were fired without any warnings. In my 20's, I was being managed by a 17 year old. There is something wrong with that picture.

    Advice to Management

Hire managers that will be better at communicating, will recognize hard work, and will dismiss drama. As an employee for two summers, I noticed that Westside was a very hostile work environment. I believe it has to do with management's immature behavior and unrealistic expectations from staff members.
