I worked at The World Bank as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

great networking, great learning environment, cafeteria is awesome!

    Cons

staff and short term consultants are like two different castes - short term consultants are used and then replaced in lieu of hiring a staff - many people get frustrated with the system and leave - those that stay usually do because of visa sponsorship

    Advice to Management

end the abuse of consultants - if you give advice to the rest of the world on fair practices, you should practice it yourself
