I worked at The World Bank as a contractor (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Dynamic environment, allows to work with governments and high level players, and to directly contribute to the development of countries.

    Cons

To succeed it is almost obligatory to work an unusual amount of hours, too many hours on the job, and there is no certainty that you will be retained after consultancy period is over.
