I worked at The World Bank part-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Interesting work, exposure to different seminars and knowledge sharing if you have time

Cons

You only deal with your specific assignment- no opportunity to interact with other areas or other. The recognition of your contribution in the piece of work depends on who you work for. They can dare not even mentionning you and as if they did all the work on their own.

    Pros

    like it, since it is good place to grow and to learn things, good payment also, tax free. One less thing to worry about...

    Cons

    they have country quotas... difficult to get a job there, if you are born in US, India or China. HOwever, if you are from a country with 1000 population, you get the job.

    very balanced. colleagues are very smart. good location. working on developing countries

    maybe not as challenging as private sector, after all it's more like a government agency
