I have been working at Thermo Fisher Scientific full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Some departments have it figured out and some don't with regards to work-life balance. Can be very flexible and understanding

Cons

Can be very political. There is a lot of dead weight.

Advice to Management

Think twice about letting talent go because of conflicts. The talent may be well worth it and the conflict could be completely misconstruded.

I have been working at Thermo Fisher Scientific full-time

    Pros

The people that you work with are in the same boat as you, so it's nice to have someone to gripe with but keep in mind, this is a call center.

    Cons

Pathetic company luncheons, minimum to no raise, micro managing, company work ethic of "squeezing blood out of a turnip" with the amount of work that you are expected to complete between phone calls for minimal pay, benefits sucks.

    Advice to Management

Hire more people to keep up with the work load and show some employee appreciation. Don't brag that you as the vice president make way more money than your peon poor workers that you "Don't have to worry about gas prices".

I have been working at Thermo Fisher Scientific full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Big company benefits, good reputation. Stayed busy and grew despite the economy.

    Cons

Terrible HR system, PMD process is a joke. Local management is clueless, they do not respond or give credit for ideas. Corporate touts the PPI process, at CCG it is a total joke! Low pay.

    Advice to Management

Do more 360 reviews and then act on them! Don't treat those in the trenches as idiots.
