I have been working at Thirty-One Gifts as a contractor (More than 3 years)

    Pros

It's a great way to have your own business without have to start it from scratch. Since I've been planning to open my own business from scratch, Thirty-One Gifts has showed me if I got what it takes. I am having to use my own Marketing/Advertising tools to get my own business and make it thrive. I joined Thirty-One Gifts for their mission to Empower and Support Women to be the confident woman that they are created to be and it shows throughout the business.

    Cons

The only downside to the business is the fact that the consultants (independent contractors) with Thirty-One can work their team/business how they see fit. With the team the I signed up under do not have the party vibe for this party business. There isn't that much training and support and encouragement that I know that Cindy and home office encourage and promote and train.

    Advice to Management

If there is a consultant that doesn't like her upline and how she runs her team, she should be able to transfer to a new team within the business so she can get the right support and encouragement.

I have been working at Thirty-One Gifts part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Quality products, excellent support from home office, always something new to share with customers.

    Cons

Compensation plan is poor. 25% commission on product sales (not horrible) but commission on sales from team members makes it nearly impossible to make 31 a full-time income.

    Advice to Management

    reconsider compensation plan.
