I worked at Thomas Publishing Company full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

Telecommuting. Flexible work schedules. Suburban work location.

Cons

Company continues to struggle financially. There has been repeated restructuring and downsizing over the years. Unfortunately, these changes have been largely unsuccessful at achieving the objective.

Poor communication among the departmental heads. One hand doesn't know what the other is doing, resulting in an inordinate amount of wasted time and resources.

Management is slow to make business decisions.

Repeated budget cuts that reduced or eliminated funds for professional training.
