I have been working at Thomson Reuters full-time (More than 8 years)

Pros

The ability to work from home with relative ease and not much office politics..
Sorry cannot think of anything else. One or two years ago I would have said 'Lower than average pressure, good life / work balance, understanding immediate management' - but none of these apply any longer.

Cons

Lower than average compensation, benefits slowly being eroded away.
Pressure to work additional hours on the up, unreasonable demands from management to deliver results in shorter and short time-scales - whilst at the same time banging on about improving quality of customer service. LOL!
Having to deliver sub-standard quality products to clients in order to increase revenues.
Constantly having to deal with unprofessional or incompetent colleagues in other teams throughout the organisation and outsourcing partners!

I have been working at Thomson Reuters full-time

    Pros

    1. Brand Name of Thomson Reuters
    2. Good for those who are good at Boot-licking.

    Cons

    1. Uneven Salary package. Non-deserving employees are given huge packages while many deserving candidates getting low pays.
    2. No recognition for handwork.
3.Salary appraisal depend on how much you lick ass of the manager.
    4. Salary appraisal process terribly slow. Sometimes the previous appraisal is done after the next appraisal is just around the corners.
    5. The funda of upper management is to demotivate you in every discussion, so that you don’t have the courage to ask for a good appraisal.

    Advice to Management

Be good to your subordinates. Don't just have sycophancy as the only criteria of a good appraisal.

I have been working at Thomson Reuters full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great benefits flexible work time especially for single mother. Very diverse in the people they hire.

    Cons

My department lacks in career growth. No programs for promotions or career growth within the company. I have been stuck in the same position for 5yrs. My manager is a micro-manager and discriminates women.

    Advice to Management

No employee should be in the same position for more then 2yrs. If so find out why!!!!
