I have been working at Thomson Reuters full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

It's a great company where you get a lot of flexibilities and to be able to have a work life balance environment

Cons

In recent years, there are too many rounds of restructures. It's good to restructure and to keep up with the current market conditions, but the restructures happened in the last few years appeared to be that the management is doing the trial and error, which resulted huge wastes of resources, money, customers..etc.

Advice to Management

Get the strategies right! Too many hierarchies in the company, from a frontline staff all the way to CEO is 7 layers, not allowing decisions to make quickly, timely, which looses opportunities.

    Pros

Great Employees to work with. Benefits were good.

    Cons

The pay was terrible, The Security management is to worried about saving their jobs by short cutting wages and raises to the front line worker. The Security management does not show any leadership and does not know how to communicate to it's own employees.

    Advice to Management

Look at yourself and learn how to communicate to your employees.

    Pros

Big company benefits, as part of Thomson Reuters, with a small company feel, if you're in the right cities. Because Thomson Reuters is so big advancement opportunities within the company come up on a regular basis.

    Cons

Corporate office sometimes makes decisions that make no sense from ground level, or that might make sense in London or New York, but not in other markets.
