I have been working at Thomson Reuters full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

Flexible work from home options, generous benefits - PTO, 401k matching, severance packages. I don't know about local management but overall the philosophy is that they appreciate their employers and do things such as work from home options a couple times a week to make employees happy.

Cons

Lay offs, no career growth

    Pros

Stable company with good standing in the industry.
    Conservative approach to business ventures.
    Good compensation and benefits.

    Cons

    Poor work/ life balance focus.
TR not really engaged in the Healthcare space and business eventually sold off ( to Truven) but found leadership to be top notch.

    Advice to Management

    Improve work/ life balance focus

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Thomson Reuters full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good work-life balance, generous paid time off, opportunities for growth if you look for them and go after them, great co-workers, fun, friendly culture in Ann Arbor.

    Cons

Change to healthcare benefits, some disconnect between employees and upper management.

    Advice to Management

Much of division-level management is homegrown and could use some experience outside of Creative Solutions. Same management enjoys the benefits of being part of a large corporation but can be anti-corporate when they dislike corporate policies.
