I have been working at Thomson Reuters full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Flexibility to work on internal projects of interest to you. Premier provider of information means great access to datasets. Good access to management and good credit for work done.

Cons

Lots of politics at management level. Poor pay compared to industry benchmarks. Pretty flat career structure.

Advice to Management

Better remuneration and benefits for good work (bring back 'above and beyond' awards). Listen to the advice of the people that work with the data (too often the strategy seems to be aligned with management's ideas - not supported by the rest of the business - although politics mean they wouldn't dare disagree!)

I worked at Thomson Reuters full-time

    Pros

Good, helpful people. Not too agressive. People came from journalist background are most helpful among the big 3 news companies in its league. Totally loved my ex colleagues

    Cons

Lacklustre of corporate strategy for the combined company resulted in high turnover and massive redundancy. No coping with falling revenue or competition, so this may carry on for long. Not a safe or good place to be, unless just for 6 months.
