I worked at Thomson Reuters full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

TR bought my service line, and even though they found our salaries a bit rich, they continued to pay us at the established rates, though raises were thin and far between...

    Cons

Remote ownership--it was a bit weird being owned by and run by a company with no presence in our market. Like being run by the head in the glass jar from Futurama.....

I have been working at Thomson Reuters as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Interview process is informal and comfortable. They don't make you jump through hoops with pre-screening processes.

    Cons

My recruiter was disorganized and didn't have a good idea of what the hiring manager was looking for. Passed me around to three recruiter phone screens until finally bringing me in for an interview. After an onsite interview with hiring manager and three other team members they informed me that I needed to do an additional phone interview and then come in to meet another interviewer the following week. After the phone screen I was informed that the position was now on hold and they would continue considering me for the position.

    Advice to Management

Need to be more organized in the interview process. Don't bring people in until a decision has been made to hire somebody.
