I have been working at Thomson Reuters full-time (More than 8 years)

Pros

There are different cultures within Thomson Reuters, and some of them are very flexible and family-friendly. If this is of interest to you, try to find another person within the group to find out more. Don't assume that one group is the same culture as another group.

Cons

The career plan is talked about, but isn't very clear. A person should network within the company after getting a job at TR - after you are comfortable in your job, volunteer for projects or events outside of your job and your group. This way, you'll expand your knowledge and will find that you can actually get your job done easier. Often it's who you know, not what you know, even for day-to-day items.

Advice to Management

Encourage networking within the company. It will help with innovation and productivity.

    Pros

The PTO is wonderful, and the experience is great. Also a large company. The majority of the people who work here are happy and positive. The location is great, in downtown Fort Worth, but that will be changing too.

    Cons

They are becoming more and more focused on Outsourcing, and not as concerned with local employees. Also, my office will be moving to Carrolton, and Thomson Reuters is in quite a bit of debt as a company as a whole. Our goals increased this year, they grew our team, and then cut our commission in half on top of that.
