I have been working at Thomson Reuters full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Work/Life balance, shift flexibility, working from home possibility (also for foreigners who want to spend some long time back at their homeland, no problem to get permission for 1 month or more if there are other reasons than just visit family), great corporation ambient, lots of groups and activities, a lot of learning and development possibilities.

    Cons

Very low salaries, extremely restrained budgets that put the teams very often in difficult situations and it is making the talents to fly away looking for opportunities outside. It is getting more Thomson and less Reuters every year.

    Advice to Management

The workers are also an investment, the value of a company is not only measured in cash and profit. If you only take care of the stakeholders requests from continuous revenue growth and keep stretching the leash only on the low level workers' benefits you will keep losing the best talents and will get full of people who have already topped their ambitions in their careers.

I have been working at Thomson Reuters as a contractor (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The Brand, and the working environment is very diverse, work life balance, ability to work from home.

    Cons

Complicated internal procedures, top maangement don't really pay much attention to smaller offices in Asia. I had no proper supervisor during my internship period so felt abit short handed in terms of career development. Very slow learning curve and ability to reach a glass ceiling really fast

    Advice to Management

Provide employees with a clear career path and engage in mentoring workshops quarterly or semi annually so staff will be well informed of the company direction
