I worked at Thycotic full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The technology Thycotic has created is groundbreaking and influential. You can learn a lot about where enterprise security is going here, and work with some brilliant people. The compensation is top shelf and the benefits are a breed apart, generous and thorough. Work-life balance is good, with ample time off. Support for working remote is stellar and remote workers have been thoroughly integrated with the in-office staff.

    Cons

The company has grown at such breakneck pace that people who were competent for their roles in a small company now find themselves out of their depth, trying to run a much larger corporation. Inadequately experienced management has caused at times severe problems with morale and employee relations. Retention of middle management appears problematic, likely due to intense politicking over budgets and titles. HR in particular has failed to implement modern best practices for that discipline; for example, performance reviews are not even written down--verbal only-- despite their impact on bonuses. You need to have a thick skin and be willing to put up with a lot of noise to contribute your best. This is, however, true of many a corporation, not only Thycotic, so if you are used to these growing-pain issues. give it a go.
