Pros

Pay was good and raises. I worked different shifts and areas within the hospital.

Cons

As a CNA you will do your work & assist RN. If you are sick with the flu or virus or illness Management does not care about patients well being, do not ever call in sick you will be terminated no matter how well you've done your job. Management tells you that you can re-apply for job but they will not hire you again.

Advice to Management

I would suggest treating employees the same way you are treated. You get your time off, you do not be at work all the time, but when an employee needs time off or calls in sick then its a problem. Team work is very needed. Promotions should be given to the ones who deserve it not by your preference or choice.

    Pros

you truly can know everyone you work with it's so small. staff seems stable. pay is comparable, small town atmosphere. free parking.Cute ole fashioned town with lots of outside things to do.

    Cons

Felt terrible about the care I was forced to deliver. never enough help to do things safely. Jobs dont seem to go to best qualified- jobs go to the one who has the best "corporate values". Cut cost over patient care. Terrible MD staff who must get kickbacks for everything. Staff very unfriendly to folks without insurance. Physicians are the customers, yes believe it. Staff is blamed for everything.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your workers even if it's just a minute. Hire qualified people for the job a little less nepotism might be nice. Make patient safety priority one. Standards are for everyone and every hospital. Some physicians look good on paper but not in practice. Sometimes you do have to invest in your employees. Hire some outsiders once in a while it might provide some diversity of thought which is in great need.
