I have been working at Time Warner Cable full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Time Warner Cable is really great at taking care of their employees, I have no complaints. The job isn't for everyone but if you're motivated you can do very well. Management gives you all the tools you need to be successful, you just need to apply them.

Cons

Wish we had more than two weeks vacation, taking time off can be difficult.

    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Time Warner Cable full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Always have incentives to keep you at your best. Very fun work environment; my manager would randomly pull people off the phones to play Call of Duty. Seniority is only one half of moving ahead, performance being the other half.

    Cons

Things change constantly and they don't always provide proper training beforehand. Conversely, they are very set in their ways; if you have a better idea of how to do something, they will not listen.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing the incentives, it's way better than threatening termination.

I worked at Time Warner Cable full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good benefits. Excellent mix of employees.

    Cons

Poor company culture that puts very low priority on customer satisfaction.
Their focus is on revenues, and they could care less about customer satisfaction.
They habitually ignore customer requests to cancel service until after several attempts, because there is "no revenue" gained by letting someone leave them.

    Advice to Management

Be open to suggestions, and put your ego's aside.
Hold employees to a higher standard when it comes to "keeping the customer" happy.
If you are going to have a sales quota for both retention & new sales revenue, then don't ignore the "retention" revenue when it comes time for evaluations. Keeping a customer is just as important, if not, more important, than finding new ones.
Come up with better incentives for sales contests...... your rewards are a company punch-line.
