I worked at Time Warner Cable full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Stable company, good benefits, decent distribution of work and organizational structure.

Cons

Prior to their massive 'regionalization' merging, Time Warner Cable divisions were largely independently run, and had a lot more innovation, creative, and drive to deliver new products. Also, now the benefit programs and employee reward systems have been taken over by corporate - making them watered down and not as good.

Advice to Management

Less regionalization, more independent fostering of innovation and creativity. Stagnation and complacency is going to kill you.

    Pros

    Great Benefits, great commission structure

    Cons

You are just another number and it is not a personal environment,if you make an error they do not stick to their own corrective action policy and you could/will be out the door, cut throat environment as far as others stealing others orders.

    Advice to Management

Instead of firing people for human mistakes provide retraining if necessary as things change with a company restructuring, stick to the rules and not allow management to make their own rules as they go. Be compassionate to others. Do not discriminate! Treat people fairly!
