I have been working at Time Warner Cable full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Great company to work for, with plenty of opportunity to transfer and move throughout the company. The company promotes a good sense of teamwork and provides well for its employees.

Cons

No real cons to mention. The opportunity is what you make of it, and a good attitude goes a long way. Individual offices handle scheduling through different means, so sometimes seniority rules, while other times seniority + performance dictates schedule.

I worked at Time Warner Cable part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It's slightly better than indentured servitude

    Cons

It's not that much better than indentured servitude; upper management is comprised of morons

    Advice to Management

Could you try not to be condescending? Believe me, outside the four walls of your precious company, you don't matter

"Not really a good company to work for; call center mid level management and senior level management need alot of work."

I worked at Time Warner Cable full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Discounted cable, phone, and internet services. Great benefits. Great summer picnics.

    Cons

Pay is not that good. The motto for time warner cable is that things will change. Only thing is they often forget to tell you about the changes. There is not alot of opportunity for growth and advancement. In order to get promoted into another department, you usually have to know someone or be BFF's with a manager in your department. Hours are horrible if you work in the call center. There is not alot of flexibility for your work schedule if you have a family.

    Advice to Management

Management should communicate better with their employees and be more consistent across the board. Management should also consider hiring a consultant to help address some of the issues that have taken place over the past six months, instead of blaming it on the employees. I would also recommend that the upper management participate in something similar to that of a secret shopper role, where they disguise themselves as employees and get feedback from the employees as to how they feel about issues, and also try to play the role of the employee so they can see what it is that they are actually going through. I've seen something similar to this on a show called "Undercover Boss," and it seemed to make a difference with the company.
