I worked at Time Warner Cable full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Good compensation and nice place to work if you can handle constant change. Co-workers were easy to get along with and politics a mid mgmnt were at a minimum.

Cons

Don't expect to have any interaction with senior or executive management. They rarely make any effort to share their vision with any mid or lower level managers. Changes happen suddenly but are rarely thought out which caused unnecessary chaos.

I have been working at Time Warner Cable full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Good health benefits. Good pay.

    Cons

Not much room to grow in terms of training/pay. There are many positions available in different locations, but most of the time a "more qualified" outside applicant will get chosen. They should do more to keep their own people growing into more challenging positions.

    Advice to Management

Upper management seems to want to change the way the company runs every year and no one can agree on anything. Any new release is an afterthought and there is a serious lack of communication to the people supporting the new product.

I worked at Time Warner Cable full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Health Plan, Savings on Cable Services, and Pension.

    Cons

This Company has no Direction. Though alot of money and time is spent to present the idea that they do. Levels of Management are apparently dis-jointed from eachother and from the reality of what goes on with the Front Line and those that really represent TWC. Senior Management doesn't care about how people are impacted when they make they frequent and random decisions. Unfortunately, there is not much year to year pay growth. There is a culture of every man for themselves most of the time, and they seem to be perpetually understaffed yet, continue to demand more. Employee morale is very low, and there is much less communication about anything than there has been in the past.

On-going Training is poor across the board and there seems to be little to no concern for providing good service, and in turn, enjoting a decent reputation as a Brand.

Everything is statistic driven, and a The quantity over quality attittude prevails. Many people in Management would not be able to perform well in the positions below them, given the unrealistic goals in place, which is unimpressive for those who are expecting a knowledgeable Leader.

There is a frustrating culture of only being reactive. Issues don't seem to be resolved until they are severe, and any sense of urgency to correct the smallest large scale issues will be stifled by the long process of progress.

    Advice to Management

Spend one day in the shoes of those you make decisions for to gain better insight.
