I have been working at Time Warner Cable full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Commission, recognition and incentives. Good to start a career.

Cons

Too much work load for base pay. Duties: Billing, Escalations, Retention, Up sell so many products, equipment transactions and they still expect you to meet your goals.

Advice to Management

Too much workload and they expect too much from you

I worked at Time Warner Cable full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Uncapped comission, great benefits, nearly free services

    Cons

Very stringent sales requirements, and you're only as good as your worst days. You will likely get fired if you have too many of them in a month. This rewards those with lower productivity, as they concentrate on maximizing sales at the expense of yet another metric. Sales are frequently stolen by being cancelled and rekeyed by other agents with seemingly no consequence outside of a slap on the wrist. Even though they monitor every call, sales coachings are only for sporadically listened to calls and suggest solutions of individual instances and not a way to change sales behaviors.

    Advice to Management

Take more time with the bottom line, and make the senior management seem like they care more about your front line than you do. I felt like I was simply cannon fodder being fed to the grinder on my bad days. Encourage more honest practices among your reps as well.

I worked at Time Warner Cable full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It was a great company to work for. Great benefits, decent pay.

    Cons

I was stationed in a Best Buy which is always dead. Thus no business customers. Also the hours were horrible. 11AM-8PM Thursday-Monday. Low chance of advancement.
