I have been working at Time Warner Cable full-time (More than a year)

Pros

I enjoy working at Time Warner Cable, interesting and complex work, great employees, great benefits, incentives and perks.

Cons

Extreme low hourly wage $10.33 per hour. Hourly wage should be twice that much for what we are expected to know and do, including daily changes in procedures and everything else.

Advice to Management

Start paying Customer Care Representatives a better hourly wage if you want to stop losing employees within 1 year of hiring them.

I have been working at Time Warner Cable full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great benefits. Free cable. We get paid on time every week even though it is much less than we were making a year ago.

    Cons

Horrible local management have yet to meet our area manager after 4 months. Lowered our salary. Lowered our commissions.

    Advice to Management

Care more about salespeople. All direction comes from people we will never meet and have no clue what really happens in the real world.

I worked at Time Warner Cable part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Free cable and major discount on other services, like high speed internet
    Fun coworkers
Supervisors really cared about their team

    Cons

Upper management did not care about employees, only the bottom dollar
Company policies were not friendly to existing customers, only new customers get good deals, and customer service representatives get to deal with angry customers.

    Advice to Management

Concentrate on keeping customers you have, offer some of the great deals you give new customers to existing customers, don't make them have to threaten to cancel and be transferred to retention in order to get someone who can lower their bill
