Positive Outlook
No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Time Warner Cable full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Great co-workers who genuinely care about one another, great pay, awesome benefits & perks, managers who are all about hearing how things can be changed for the better and will openly discuss why or why not the change is a good idea.

Cons

I personally can not think of any cons at this time. I have not been here for a super long time. I am sure there will be ups and downs to come, but so far, so good!

Advice to Management

Continue to listen and discuss issues with your employees. Continue to positively build your teams.

I have been working at Time Warner Cable full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Lots of technical resources to get things done. Tons of internet-scale projects to work on.

    Cons

Too many gatekeepers preventing things from getting done. Re-orgs every 6-9 months. No clear vision from executive leadership.

    Advice to Management

Remove the cliques who only promote their buddies and get rid of the gatekeepers that prevent progress from being made. TWC has great resources and we should be doing amazing things. Not just following Comcast's lead and letting friends promote friends.

    Pros

The front line personnel work hard for each other. The benefits provided to the employees are standard within the industry.

    Cons

Management is indifferent to the struggles of the front line people. Corporate and regional people rarely if ever meet with lower management. Performance reviews are rarely based on actual data.

    Advice to Management

Leave your office and spend more time with other managers and front line personnel. Reduce the rhetoric and speak sincerely with each other.
