I worked at Total Quality Logistics (More than a year)

Pros

training was thorough- fun team activities often- pay was decent.

Cons

too much inner company quarrels. felt like a sheep in a crowd... no individual worth here unless you are making the company millions.

I worked at Total Quality Logistics full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The ppl you meet, the other associates are fantastic but you build a close bond bc you all are struggling. You can search for better jobs while at work.

    Cons

Worry about being fired all the time, no potential unless you're "lucky" and the associate above you quits and your manager delegates their customers to you. Absolutely no life/work balance. Hiring structure is based off a pyramid scheme model.... Funny bc it's true. Basically you sit at a desk and call businesses all day for 9-10 hours asking for their freight. You'll expect to make 100+ calls a day, it's not what a human being was meant to do, you'll go crazy.

    Advice to Management

Have a management team that is actually educated in leading ppl not just that they did well in sales last year. Also, don't send out emails for management and HR to Flood sites like this with positive reviews, let honest employees have their say.

I worked at Total Quality Logistics as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Very casual, laid back, and relaxed work environment; but dont get me wrong, it can be very stressful at times. Success depends mainly on yourself and your work ethic, although to be very successful there it does require some luck. The company does a lot for its employees: things like beer on fridays, pizza for lunch, etc.

    Cons

If you're planning on working a 9-5, TQL isnt for you; you'll usually work 8-5 or 6. In your first year you have to work a lot of Saturday mornings. You have to be on call 24/7, when you become a broker, expect calls at 2 and 3 am in the morning. Just know that they make it sound a lot sweeter than it really is...

    Advice to Management

Don't be biased, but not too much critique here.
