Pros

People. People. People. You feel valued and placed in the best possible position to contribute to the max with enthusiasm and willingness to happily go the extra mile, with a smile on your face.

Cons

Not the highest payer in the market, but they make up for this through benefits (e.g. charity days, flexi holidays) .

    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Totaljobs Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

-Excellent benefits (life insurance, 29 days paid leave, stock options, various vouchers and more)
-Amazing building right behind Tate Modern
-Most of the people, including senior management, are very firendly and welcoming
-Relaxed, fun atmosphere in the office
-True agile, no deadlines, quality of software over delivering fast
-The stack is quite cutting edge and interesting and there is opportunity to learn very useful technologies

    Cons

-Salaries are on the lower end of the spectrum
-Career progression sometimes seems to be too slow
-The release pipeline is somewhat broken and frustrating (but steps have been taken to imrpove that)
-There are still some legacy parts of the platform that are horrible to work on (you don't have to too often though)

    Advice to Management

-Reward, promote, give raises to people that do good work, without them having to bee too vocal about it. That might alleviate the turnover issues the company is having lately.
-Keep working towards improving the release pipeline. It is currently a cause of frustration to devs and ops alike
-Please hire more ops, especially DBAs. There is an obvious lack.
-Delegate more power to the POs. Let them make some decisions instead of just communicating decisions taken higher up "the chain of command" to devs
