I worked at Towers Perrin full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

Lot's of learning experiences, mostly great coworkers, pretty good pay and benefits but some of that changed after the merger

Cons

They went through a merger to go public and did most of the downsizing.

    Pros

There were some very smart hard working people. They offered some of the best in class products/services. They were very professional.

    Cons

The merger with Watson Wyatt brought a huge culture change - and not in a good way. It felt like doing a great job became a second priority to grabbing every dollar possible. Also, politics drove many leadership decisions, not making the best choice for the company.

    Advice to Management

Stop looking at the bottom line and instead look forward.
