Approves of CEO

I have been working at Toyota Material Handling full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

The company feels like you are working with a family. Everyone works well as a team. Overall there is stability and good benefits.

Cons

It is difficult to advance unless someone retires or leaves. The company is moving its headquarters to Columbus, Indiana and there will be massive turnover as a result. There is very little associate recognition and no formal program.

Advice to Management

Look for more ways to recognize associates and to reward those who bring new ideas to the table and help the company improve. Also, don't forget to reward those who help you climb by helping them climb too.

I worked at Toyota Material Handling full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Very structured good training on products, no so much on sales. Good commission for target achievers.

    Cons

Very much an old boys club, a lot of contradictions to actual Toyota values.

    Advice to Management

Better people management and open and honest communication. You have some very knowledgeable people but very few good man managers at senior level.

I worked at Toyota Material Handling (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Ok pay envelope
    Good working hours
    Flexible working hours
    Ok vacation policies
    Good bonus
Ok, but not more, office environment

    Cons

Absolutely horrible management in the central service organization that minimize and bully their subordinates. Couldn't stand it anymore so I resigned. Worst company I ever worked for

    Advice to Management

Try to really mean all the fancy words. Clear out the underperforming bosses in central service organization.
Company has started to get a bad reputation locally and there are a lot of other options especially for IT persons.
