I have been working at Toys "R" Us part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The work is very easy. Outside of season you really don't due much. It's a good job for students.

    Cons

Almost everything. The stores really push Rewards, and Credit Cards a lot. A majority of customers already have the Rewards cards, so it's hard to get them. You hours (in R Zone) are based of your metrics. Batteries, Rewards, Buyer Protection Plans, and Instant Credit. My location (like most) are very under staffed. I stand around for half my shift doing nothing because I have to stay visible. I'll be the only person on the floor till I go home. I can't even straightin the area up. It's kinda stressful at times. The management expects a lot, for no real incentive outside pizza parties. I still need training for store policy. But they can't do that due to the lack of hours. I get about 22 hours a week if I'm lucky. I wouldn't want anybody to have this Job unless they have mad sales skills.

    Advice to Management

    Help your employees more.

I have been working at Toys "R" Us part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The hours are flexible mostly. The pay is alright, I guess. There's a relaxed dress code with some opportunities to wear things such as sports jerseys.

    Cons

The managers aren't helpful. You don't receive proper training. Hours are cut more than in half as soon as holiday season ends and are given to the seasonal employees who were kept on staff.

    Advice to Management

Get involved more, don't hide in your offices. Give proper training when employees first start working.
