I have been working at Toys "R" Us full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Vacation and earned time off hours are earned regularly and are an excellent benefit.

Cons

PAYROLL ISSUES. There are no hours to give to any of the part timers, which make up a majority of the workforce. As a result we are over-worked

Advice to Management

Invest more in your low-level employees; they make your business work.

I worked at Toys "R" Us full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Good employees, occasionally fun enviroment. Decent opportunities for growth. Management that understands the bulk of the extraordinary expectations.

    Cons

Low pay, outrageous expectations. Stores are staffed with very few associates despite being a "guest focused" culture. Expected to work 365 days a year, a company that preaches family values while not having a single aspect of a life/work balance.

    Advice to Management

Work in the stores that you have such high expectations of. How often store management is asked to perform at unbelieveable levels with very few workers and even fewer hours to work out projects by corporate level management. Corporate should have to work in the stores especially during season when lower level management is being given over to management burnout.
