I have been working at Toys "R" Us part-time (More than a year)

Pros

Very positive environment, friendly people, obviously nice if you enjoy toys. It is nice to be around toys and games and assist others with the knowledge and experience that you have to share.

Cons

Seasonal is busy and enjoyable but after january, business slows down and hours are cut from employees. With such a slow day, the time drags on.

    Pros

    The on line product training

    Cons

Poor communication from senior management to store managers
Run on a shoe string. Cannot order supplies that are needed because budget is so tight.
Poor morale in stores, low pay, not enough staff to get the job done.
Hours fluctuate week to week, being full time does not guarantee full time hours
Managers work minimum of 70 hours a week
Same pay whether you are new to retail or have experience, how do you entice talent?

    Advice to Management

    Remodel needed in stores
Increase payroll in order to have proper staffing and to get tasks done
Create a sliding scale in order to pay for experience
Create a life balance for the sr managers
