I have been working at Toys "R" Us part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Interact with kids and parents, fun to be around toys all day, demonstrations for kids on certain saturdays, fun environment to work in, managers are all pretty chill

    Cons

no incentives to hit metrics...if metrics aren't hit hours are cut, parents during christmas are rude and terrible, slow when not in season, coupons restrict a lot of items so people get mad easily

    Advice to Management

Recognize employees for selling extra services, incentive based rewards

I worked at Toys "R" Us full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I honestly have no real pros. The only thing that I enjoyed about my job was helping the soon-to-be parents pick out items that they would need and would be the most helpful for them. I was the department supervisor for the Baby Gear, Furniture, and Apparel departments.

    Cons

I've been out of this job for 3 months now, and I still can't think of anything that was good about that job. There are never enough hours to efficiently run a store of that size, leading all the supervisors to be overworked and admonished by management when everything could not be done all at once. There are just unreasonable expectations for the amount of work to get done by the amount of people that are able to do it.
