Pros

The Burlington store runs like a machine. Teaching you a lot, and working with lots of customers.

Cons

The "Team Leader" is a cranky old women. She is not very capable and most of the "team members" end up doing her job. ie Counting the drawer at the end of the night.

Advice to Management

Don't be afraid to invest in your employees. Longer retention and more satisfaction can only help this already very profitable company.

    Pros

TSC Customers are by far the best part of the job. Then working with other Team Members. There are many in management that care about the people and it shows at times. I truly feel that the collective group of executives want to do the right thing. The reality is the cons listed below.

    Cons

The company is working hard to pay Store Managers & others less money every year and pushing to make the bonus's less.
The culture is changing with company growth. While the mission and values that was once in place is fading into the sunset. Company hits wall street numbers on the backs of Team Members, always cutting payroll yet the expectations do not reduce along with that payroll reduction. The company struggles to hit the margins they need to hit, so in return the money must come from other sources.
Many now feel they are simply an employee number given when you start work. It's not a human life you're dealing with you're xxx-xxx and decisions are made simply on that basis.
The company is riding high and stockholders are being rewarded but I Believe the clock is ticking.

    Advice to Management

Change is a wonderful thing unless it's the wrong change. RVP,DM & SM have little or no autonomy and it's hurting the troops on the ground. Uniformity has helped in recent years but it's gone too far and costing sales. While these level managers are afraid to make a move. There must be a mechanism in place that doesn't require an act of congress to change a planogram. You're building a force of robotic managers and stifling ground based creativity.
