I have been working at TracyLocke full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Learn important lessons about time management, prioritization, and responsibility. Also get a great understanding of how advertising works and how to work efficiently with account, creative, and production.

Cons

First job most of the time requires you to stay very late into the evening. The work is demanding and you must be very detail oriented. The compensation is low for what we really do.

Advice to Management

Take the time to properly train all project managers before giving them their account.

    I worked at TracyLocke full-time

    Pros

Great place to work if you can tune out the politics. The work is interesting, most of the people are great, and the place is full of energy. Though I have plenty of complaints, it's still one of the better companies that I have worked for.

    Cons

TL is constantly blowing up the structure in an attempt to improve, but really they are only making things difficult. The work produced trends towards the stale, as the creative department loves recycling. There is very little communication between management and field employees, and the agency has a complete disconnect with both field employees and field clients. The average age at the agency is probably 23, which may explain the quality of work. There is little room for advancement, and politics are abound. Merit alone will not propel your career at TL.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to the field, and clamp down on the home office. It wouldn't hurt to have a little bit of discipline. Focus less on empty philosophical "paradigm shifts" and focus more on your people and producing quality advertising.
