There is really high turnover, especially among executives. Anyone considering an executive role should be very hesitant because they've been through at least 7 in three years. The CEO is very passionate but that can often mean he gets really deep into a department without knowing what he is doing and really screws it up. If you want to leave, the CEO will get very passive aggressive. For quite some time the CEO told the company that if you left, you couldn't get another job at a Foundry Group company ruling out many Boulder jobs. The unprofessionalism you will encounter at this company will blow your mind. Politics are also an intrinsic part of the culture and there is rampant favoritism. The pay is below grade for the rest of Boulder and fellow Foundry Group companies. They tout their "take what you need" vacation policy but that's reserved for the favored, and often the exec team holds vacations you've taken over your head.
