Pros

good culture, appropriately casual atmosphere

Cons

lack of growth and typecasting in roles. lack of creativity and vision from middle management to upper management in the IS and administrative sides. healthy product management practice.

    I worked at Trainline full-time

    Pros

    -Fairly relaxed atmosphere to work, with a casual dress code.
    - Free breakfast
    -Free soft drinks
    -Friday beers
    - Office party once a month
    - Games room

    Cons

    - Below industry salaries
    - Poor working environment, little to motivate you
    - Management too remote from employees and what they actually do day-to-day, all they care about is growth (at any cost)
    - little or no development opportunities
    -Too much politics, very secretive and its all about who you know rather than how good you are at your job
    - Unless you work in IT or sales you will not get a look in at any staff recognition or perks
    - Colleagues have very little care for one another and its all about personal opportunities, lack team spirit

    Advice to Management

    Help to develop and nurture your current talent, and listen to their feedback on a regular basis. Empower your staff to make a difference and stay motivated. All the additional benefits such as breakfast and drinks etc, keep employees happy for the first week, at the end of the day they want a salary reflective of the market so pay your employees better.
