I worked at TransPerfect full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

The hire a lot of cool people, who tend to leave quickly

Cons

Awful culture, like joining a cult where they tell you the path to success (and therefore your worth as a person) is to stuff envelopes and live in the office. No development, no progression.

I have been working at TransPerfect as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Payment has always been punctual and staff have responded to payment queries very fast.
    - You can easily gain experience
    - Flexible schedules mostly
    - Some PMs are very nice (but it's obvious that few stay at TP for longer than a year..)

    Cons

    - Treatment depends on the PM but overall they are polite.
    - Payment could be better. The more reasonable your request, the less work you'll receive..
    - Sometimes expected to respond 24/7, you have to keep your foot down to avoid this.
    - Not a good long-term option - as soon as you have some experience and can get work elsewhere, you should do that.

    Advice to Management

Please re-consider your whole business strategy. Stop treating people like crap.
