Pros

Ability to work on interesting and challenging projects for big clients.

Cons

Incredible lack of corporate self awareness. It's one thing to manufacture some hype in your marketing strategy, but it's another altogether when you start believing it without putting in the time, attention and effort to make it real.

Advice to Management

TNS is a boat floating aimlessly. Hope alone isn't a good strategy for future success. The company needs to clearly define what it wants to be and then take an honest assesment of where it currently is. Only then will they be able to see how big the gap is and hopefully make the right decisions to correct the course. This can only happen with effective and ambitious senior management.

    Pros

Great location and good people. Benefits are similar to other companies. Products have potential for innovating into new markets and providing growth.

    Cons

Senior executives are poor communicators and have a credibility gap with employees. Lead by intimidation and fear. The bonus program is based on who's friends with whom: not individual contribution or merit.

    Advice to Management

Be honest in your communications and stop the college frat-boy games. Treat your people as human beings instead of things to be manipulated to gratify your ambitions.

    Pros

Company with unrealized potential. The leadership is trying real hard to reinvent itself by buying new companies. Decent place to work, benefits are okay.

    Cons

too small a company not to have a clear strategy. too many people in offices with closed doors. too much of a boys clubs atmosphere.

    Advice to Management

bring in some product marketing and management heavy weights. a lot of re-treads from competitors or a carrier in kansas city that is on a death spiral
