I worked at Transcend Information full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

You generally will be able to leave work at work when you clock out every day

    Cons

    - It'll cost you $5 per day every time you forget your badge at home. And if you lose the badge? You're out $50. $50 can buy a whole pack of those badges! No one knows where the money goes, probably to buy someone's lunch that day. - The CEO has to give approval before the office in LA can buy more instant coffee. If that doesn't show you the amount of micromanagement that exists in the company, I don't know what will. - Pay is on the lower end - Working from home was impossible until COVID19 came along. Then it became completely possible. Except for the unlucky few who still had to come into the office instead of social distancing everyone. - Even if you're salaried (meaning you get paid for 40 hours/week), you will need to clock in and out every day, to show you did your 9 hours for the day (since lunch is unpaid). - No room for growth - Very high turnover rate - Only younger people are hired, no one above mid 30s is ever hired - HQ in Taiwan makes most if not all the decisions in the company.
