Pros

A: because most likely, they are. On to pros: - Decent-to-good salary & recently expanded perks - mid level managers easy to get along with, flexible, good competent people in general - nice office(s), on-site parking (& bicycle shed), shower facilities

Cons

- Core line of business systems are so (EDITED - confidential/trade secret), it is not even funny - likewise, their dev process - absurdly toxic relationships with some key developers in (EDITED - confidential/trade secret) offshore office - Kilkenny dev team was off to some amazing start, but turns out if you hold yourself to today's best industry standards, it is "expensive" (as in, "too expensive"). So, little by little, there's no Kilkenny dev team to speak of, anymore. Hence, all your IT systems are going to rely on (EDITED - confidential/trade secret) team. Which, as stated earlier on, belongs in (EDITED - confidential/trade secret), and a (EDITED - confidential/trade secret). I could complain for several paragraphs more. But you get the picture.

Pros

Our platform is exceptional - disprove me! Kilkenny workforce are the best team ever - getting better every day. Senior managers are demanding and incredibly kind and sincere - great managers. Executives across LOBs are hardworking, solution finding, and caring - we're fortunate. Being one of a few Americans might seems intimidating but the team are near family - eternally helpful and willing to partner up.

Cons

Covid-19 changes to the sales process - ugh, please! Covid-19 forcing changes to our workforce - sorry to see great people sidelined. Love to get them back soon. Inability to travel - ouch. Being in Seattle while the team are in Ireland requires a flexible schedule - not really a con, more "interesting." As with every start-up, wanting to deliver faster, bigger, and better than the business asks.
