    Pros

Good product; travel agency clients favorable to offerings received via booking website and services provided to travelers.

    Cons

Upper management in New York office mandate rather than listen to needs conveyed by sales organization and viable data/report tools are almost non-existent. Cliquish upper management with supervisors prevail over client messages to Travel Bound delivered via sales representatives.

Travel agents increasingly complain at service level received by support groups.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the client. Give sales empowerment.

"Travelport was the single most disappointing employer I've ever had - totally disorganized; zero communication from mgmt"

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

Money and benefts. There is no other reason to work at Travelport

    Cons

Travelport is an amazingly awful place to work. The place is a morgue - the level of excitement among staff for their jobs is nil. No one really knows whether his job will be there tomorrow morning - it's a dice game. Others have indicated that the privae equity firm that owns the company has no foresight beyond the quarter and profits. That statement is true. There is no trust between employees or departments, no loyalty from the top down or bottom up, and the whole company is a shell. It is a disturbingly unimaginative place to work; ideas are squashed or ignored. The old guard of former Delta or Galileo or Worldspan people - the ones with 20 + years - rule the roost and protect their own jobs while the rest of the folks come and go. Bottom line: it's only a matter of time before the place crashes, gets absorbed or becomes irrelevant.

    Advice to Management

Fire them all and start over. No one knows what the (#R* is going on. Being laid off was the happiest day of my tenure there.
