I have been working at Truveris full-time

Pros

Company is transition. More focused on improving products and technology with better strategy and process. Accessing good talent. Good opportunities and getting better at seizing them.

Cons

Ongoing changes create anxiety and attrition among some employees (expected but
still disruptive in short term). Long term vision still somewhat unclear.

Advice to Management

Need more progress and communication on plan but getting results will motivate the team. Don't be afraid of bringing in grade A talent who will challenge status quo.

I have been working at Truveris full-time

    Pros

Friendly employees and a very relaxed culture. Great place to get experience working in the pharmaceutical benefits industry.

    Cons

I heard nothing but good things about Truveris before joining. I found out the hard way that it was a mistake coming here. The leadership is unstable and untrustworthy. There is a lack of vision and direction for employees to follow. The atmosphere seems like everyone has checked-out and just here for the paycheck.

    I worked at Truveris full-time

    Pros

Started with a unique niche in a promising industry. Has had a great deal of talent over the years who were very passionate about the business. Has made a name in the industry by saving other small businesses money.

    Cons

There's been a never ending series of management changes since 2012 that's ultimately led to there being nobody at the C level that actually gives a crap about "adding transparency to the pbm industry". Instead, all management cares about is filling their personal coffers. I'd guess the board and all the executives are desperate to sell the company at this point because all the visionaries are gone, revenue has taken a hit, and the term retention has become buzzword in department meetings. There's a lot of dead weight at the director and higher level and the most recent round of layoffs in July isn't going to magically fix the company, especially considering much of the dead weight is still there. The beating heart of the company is gone and management simply does not have the ability, knowledge, or passion needed to turn the tide.

The strongest engineers there say they are underpaid and that others within the organization are overpaid when considering the value they add. The best talent there is one conversation away from either leaving the company or getting a massive raise that's long overdue.

The company hasn't developed anything novel in years and has been singing the "cleaning up code" tune for so long it should be considered a bonafied classic. Yawn. Meanwhile the company is falling apart and the life vests have been tossed into the furnace. OneRx was a massive failure that took the wind out of the sails. Oops.

The culture used to be pretty awesome until you realize a ping pong table, a dart board, and a stocked fridge doesn't equal a great career. Truveris' glory days are over and management is likely just hoping for a buyout so they can cut and run.

    Advice to Management

Do something you're actually passionate about.
