Pros

The multidisciplinary work environment at Tufts allows the employees to have a well-rounded experience. Upper level management are very accessible and willing to help new and young employees develop their careers.

Cons

As a small Tier I research institution, the facilities and resources can leave something to be desired compared to many of the much larger technical institutes. In general, working in academia is not as lucrative as pursing industry as an engineer.

Advice to Management

There has already been a big push to improve this, but better facilities. Tufts has many great employees and leaders, but the facilities leave something to be desired. The school is already working to improve in this area with multiple construction projects ongoing.

    Pros

It has world class research, great faculty and a commitment to generating good teachers. Besides, it has awesome sights and sounds.

    Cons

It is not within the Boston area and that sometimes hampers productivity and / or collaborative efforts. Going downtown to get some of your work done can be a pain.

    Advice to Management

They are doing a great job but I wish the student population wasn't so exclusive. Every community sticks to its own.
