I have been working at Tufts University full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Interesting work, very intelligent colleagues. Get out of it what you put into it. Engaged student body, makes finding research assistants easy.

Cons

Undervalued, but that's the norm across academia. Grant funded environment, not enough resources. Heavy workload prevents much exploration of cross discipline collaboration.

I worked at Tufts University full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great opportunity for employees is their continued education towards a degree--free tuition, unlike other colleges which will reimburse employee which can be costly and take time to refund.

    Cons

    Limited advancement and double standards

    Advice to Management

Support Staff should be more appreciated
