    Doesn't Recommend
    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Pay is good, but for a reason...sure, you will learn alot, but don't expect any help from anyone because everyone is drowning.

    Cons

inadequate orientation, nurses are rude and leave work for the next shift. I wanted to cry everytime I had to go in.

    Advice to Management

Teach nurses how to be tactful, tell them to do stat orders before giving report to oncoming shift. Make sure preceptors are actually precepting.

    Recommends

    Pros

    Best pay in the area.
Great opportunity for professional growth, knowledge and leadership.
"Equal opportunity" for promotions, pay and pay increases.

    Cons

Downtown campus location is cumbersom for parking.
As a "teaching" hospital, some quality of care is compromised where resident MD's and medical students are involved.

    Advice to Management

Tulane appears to be concerned with improving communication between staff level employees and upper management. As a staff RN, my involvement with upper management is limited to my immediate
supervisor and those only one "notch" above her.
