Former Employee - Intern in Atlanta, GA
Former Employee - Intern in Atlanta, GA

Approves of CEO

Pros

Laid back atmosphere, diverse group of coworkers, great personal and professional development courses or seminars that occurred regularly, creativity is encouraged

Cons

Large size may make it hard to meet people in other departments
Internships vary by department which is a downside and can lead to inconsistent experiences; thus, I encourage anyone interning to try to at least intern for a year so you can experience interning in different departments. If this is not possible, then try your darndest to interact with other departments and learn more about what they do during your internship. This will be self-motivated, don't rely on HR to coordinate these opportunities for you. Those who had the best internships were the ones who not only did the work for their department well, but also explored other areas and got to know people. Don't be afraid to step out.

Advice to Management

Never really engaged with management while an intern although office was right down the hall. It was as if no one but the higher ups spoke to her. It was strange. I think this may be specific to where I worked though (TNT)

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

The benefits and the work atmosphere are very good. It's a friendly, laid back place with a good vibe in general. They do work to provide career development opportunities better than other companies I've worked for.

    Cons

There seems to be too many people with decision making ability and not enough communication between them. Some projects seem disjointed at times because of this because you get different instruction from different people.

    Advice to Management

Better direction within departments. A more centralized approach to managing the departments. It seems somewhat dispersed in its current form.
