I worked at Turner Broadcasting full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Great people, benefits, support and brands.

Cons

Very stove-piped organizations, where goals and resources are not integrated across groups. some organizational trouble spots go untreated leading to discontent and finger pointing.

Advice to Management

Your industry may not be in dire straights, but it is changing, however, it seems that many of the forward looking stars are leaving the company, either walking out the door on their own accord, or being asked to leave. You should be trying harder to keep them and strengthen your position in the changing media world.

I worked at Turner Broadcasting as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Get to see the new shows happening. Feels like a college campus. Sometimes you see famous people walking around.

    Cons

If you want to get in with the company it is very very difficult. I was freelancing as a contractor for almost two years and could not get a full time job there, even though I was sort of working there already.

    Advice to Management

Take a better look at inside job applicants!
