I worked at Turner Construction full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Decent compensation. Some really bright people.

    Cons

"Drink the kool-aid". If you were not raised through the Turner system, you are really never accepted. There are clearly two sets of rules. The ones for the Turner Boys and the rules for the rest of everyone else. They rule by being Big Bullies...... They're style gets real old real quick.
Woman, are merely tokens and quotas. Usually promoted to meet metrics. It is an exhausting place to be......

    Advice to Management

    Replace yourself.

I have been working at Turner Construction full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Will give you as much responsibility as you can handle.
    Great learning curve
    Mostly good managers

    Cons

    Long hours
You can be very easily thrust in over your head
You have to be your own advocate and boast yourself to be noticed
SPD comes with minimal supervision and sometimes support from the home office

    Advice to Management

Short projects (SPD) can easily burn out an employee very fast and turn an opinion of a company sour if the effort is not recognized or rewarded.
